
Doctor Laura Vivarelli attained her medical education and postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry at the University of Pisa, Italy.
She has also trained as a therapist in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the Cognitive Psychotherapy School in Rome, Italy. She has attained experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy in the UK with a special interest in psychological trauma.
She has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK since 2006.
She is co-author of several scientific articles which have been published on Italian and International scientific papers. She studied for several years the coexistence of depression, anxiety and fibromyalgia and has developed special experience in the treatment and management of somatoform disorders.
Over many years of clinical activity she has gained vast experience in treating all kind of mental illness by combining the use of the most up to date pharmacological treatments with a variety of psychological interventions.
At present Doctor Laura Vivarelli works as Consultant Psychiatrist responsible of the Community Mental Health Recovery Service in Woking, Surrey.
